To participate in the auction
A 25% commission is added to the total amount, incl. VAT + SEK 50 punch fee. All bids are binding. As a buyer, there are several ways to participate in bidding:
To bid in the auction room.
Leave a written advance bid in the hall during the viewing or auction.
Bid online until the start of the auction.
Telephone bids. This needs to be requested and approved well before the auction.
Absentee bids.
All absentee bids are treated confidentially. In our catalog, the leading bid is visible, but never the customer's maximum or absentee bid. The system will bid on your behalf until your max bid is reached. If no one else is bidding, the hammer price can be much lower than the specified max bid. When several bids for the same amount have been entered, the first bid is the one that will be accepted.
Pickup and shipping
Purchased goods are collected no later than 5 days after the auction, unless otherwise agreed. We provide storage options for smaller goods, however, all goods are stored at the customer's own risk. We take care of packing and send by post at a favorable price. Additional cost for packaging and shipping will be applied. Contact us for more information.
We pack carefully, but take no responsibility for damage or lost packages after the package has been sent.
Payment
Can be done on site with Card, swish or cash. It is also possible to pay the invoice via bank transfer or directly with a payment card via the website. Note that payment by card via the website entails an extra fee, which varies depending on the type of card used.
Dalarnas Auktionsbyrå is an exception to the law on card purchase fees, as we fall under the commission law. (2009:865)
Auction terms and catalog description
ART is usually indicated with the artist's name and year of life, and means that in our opinion the artwork is a work of the artist. Other possible terms are:
Attributed = The work is in our opinion a work of the specified artist but can for example miss a signature.
His art = Means that the artwork is done in the artist's manner, but is probably not done by the artist himself.
After = The artwork has been copied or influenced by the artist.
Unidentified artist = The artist is not represented. Documents from previous sales are missing. The artist is unknown.
CONDITION of the item is examined at the time of sale. The term "Minor wear" usually indicates an expected normal condition of the item. "Wear" usually indicates that the item is in worse condition than expected, minor damage may be present. Substantial damage is usually always stated in the text, exceptions can be use damage to e.g. everyday objects or use damage to larger furniture. If nothing is stated regarding condition, the object can be perceived as in normal condition or in unused condition. However, the customer can apply to receive a condition report on the item if an on-site inspection is not possible. Large sets of table ware, batch goods, etc. may have damage and wear without being indicated in the text, and should be examined by the customer himself.
AS IS All items are sold as is. However, we try to guide the buyer as comprehensively as possible by describing any defects. All mechanical items are sold in complete as-is condition, such as clocks, motors, etc. When selling modern electrical items, the seller has a 3-day right of return on the item. On older electronic devices ie. more than 10 years, no warranty is provided unless otherwise stated in the catalog text.
DIMENSIONS are given in parentheses after the item description. Highest height is usually specified when several objects appear in a call. Dimensions of paintings are always stated as Height X Width, and always refer to the image area excluding frame and mount.
